i can't possibly be sure of the whole rfid or whatever the protection of the stainless wallet is supposed to add to, but I can testify that a rugged wallet keeps my cards cash and checks in better shape than my leather wallets. I also feel like the whole stylishness factor is a bonus. Only more time will tell, but this wallet seems rugged, seems to maintain it's shape. It does not hold as much as some wallets, but I liked making the whole operation more streamlined, and I like the low profile and comfort this piece keeps
