I purchased this in-store, at Coach. The edges of the wallet have the front and back pieces of leather sealed together for a smooth, un-frayed edge that almost looks plastic-y in it's perfection. At least it starts that way. In under a year worth of use, those same edges are pealing away like perforated notebook paper sheets. Thankfully they haven't pealed back to the edge stitching, so structurally it's probably fine. Basically it's just revealing that yes, there are two pieces of leather involved, while looking nicely frayed and disheveled. Still... leather "hang-nails" aren't really what I signed up for in a Coach wallet. I had assumed a premium leather manufacturer would have created a much better product.
EDIT:
I stopped by Coach, and they replaced it, which is awesome. I cannot say one way or the other how they may serve you when buying online.
Keep in mind, they replaced it with the exact same wallet. The staff persons I dealt with seemed surprised with it's condition, so I'm hoping I just tripped across a lemon and that this is not common.
I changed my 1 star to a 3 star. I am very happy with this wallet for functionality, look, and feel, yet I'm feeling very cautious about it's lifespan. KEEP YOUR RECEIPT!
